New Recipe: Stedda Cheddar 1

Stedda Cheddar 1

Makes 1-1/2 cups

1 c. firm tofu, crumbled
3 cloves garlic, chopped
1/3 c. lemon juice, fresh
1/3 c. nutritional yeast (NOT live, NOT brewer’s)
1/3 c. raw tahini
3 T. soy sauce or Bragg’s Amino Acids
3 T. water
1 t. dried basil
1/8 t. turmeric
salt and pepper to taste

Blenderize all until very smooth, and keep refrigerated.

This has a flavour reminiscent of old cheddar, and can be heated like a cheese sauce (serve over baked potato with soy bacon bits),
or spread cold for an open-face sandwich.
