New Recipe: Mock Liverwurst

Mock Liverwurst

Makes 1 cup or so.

1/2 c. tahini
2 T. rice miso
1 t. onion or garlic powder
1/2 t. mixed green herbs
black pepper to taste

Have a cup of water ready. Heat the tahini and miso in a saucepan, add the spices, and be ready to drizzle in the water while whisking. As it heats it will get very thick, so add some water and whisk it until it thins down again. When it gets just to the consistency you like for spreading, taste it and correct the seasoning, then scrape into a clean jar and chill.

This is very good with mustard and mayo on rye.
