Heavenly Cake

A year ago, someone brought Heavenly Cake to my favourite charity’s AGM. The baker told me the recipe, which I then made for my grandsons, and it became the oldest’s favourite cake. It is very sweet and rich, so a little goes a long way.

1 pkg. butter pecan cake mix***

1 tin condensed milk

1 c. whipping cream, whipped to soft peaks

2 Score bars, crushed

Bake the cake in a prepared 9” x 13” pan as per directions. When cooled in pan, prick it with a toothpick, and pour condensed milk over the cake. Over this spread the whipped cream. Finally, sprinkle the crushed Score bars on top.

***I make my own from scratch, using a two-layer recipe for white cake; just substitute brown sugar for the white, and add 1 c. finely crushed pecans.
