Milky Chai

Milky Chai

  • · 4 c. water
  • · 1” cinnamon stick
  • · 6 green cardamom pods, crushed
  • · 1/2 teaspoon ginger
  • · 4-6 cloves
  • · A few good grates of nutmeg
  • · 6 tea bags, black
  • · 2 cups soymilk

Place water, cinnamon, cardamom, ginger, nutmeg and cloves in pot and bring to a boil. Add soymilk and return to boil. Add tea bags (or equivalent leaves), remove from heat and cover. Let steep for 5 minutes and strain. Sweeten to taste. Serve hot, or chilled over ice. Very nice with Asian meals.
